The Center for Cultural, Textual and Translational Analysis was founded in 2022 as a sub-organizational unit of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka.
The center deals with scientific research work in the field of social sciences and humanities, with a special focus on the field of cultural studies, textual (discursive, archival, media, etc.) analysis, and the field of translation (translatology).
The main goals of the Center are to support and develop excellence in social-humanistic theory and practice in the Republic of Srpska, i.e. BH, through relevant methodology and research works suitable for education for the 21st century. Through its work, the Center enables the improvement of socio-humanistic research and theory in Southeast Europe, the consolidation of strength, knowledge and experience and the strengthening of existing interdisciplinary at the home faculty and the University of Banja Luka, encouraging the 'inflow of brains' in the country and the exchange of knowledge.
The main tasks of the Center are: the improvement of cultural research, development of theory and critical society through the analysis of culture, society and language, and through the development activities and teaching work on lecture cycles in the field of cultural studies, discourse as text and speech in context and translation (translation studies); professional lectures, workshops and lifelong learning for teachers, students and associates dealing with cultural studies, text/discourse and translation studies; professional lectures and training for teachers, students and associates who want to improve their presentation skills in English, but also in an international academic context, workshops and training in the field of public speaking, intercultural communication, as well as training in presentation skills.
