The Center for Foreign Languages and Translation was founded in 2016. as a sub-organizational unit of the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka.
The Center's activities include holding foreign language courses, organizing general foreign language courses, as well as organizing profiled professional foreign language courses for certain fields (economics, law, architecture, etc.), and passing internationally recognized foreign language exams.
In addition, the Center provides preparatory classes for students (future students) for qualification exams and foreign language summer schools.
It also deals with the professional development of professors and teachers of foreign languages in primary and secondary schools in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops, and participation in research activities on various projects.
In addition to the above, the Center deals with the translation from Serbian to foreign languages of various types of documents (certificates, baptismal certificates, diplomas, court rulings, etc.), translation from foreign languages into Serbian, translation of scientific articles, books and professional literature, conference, consecutive and simultaneous translation, translation for the needs of public institutions and local self-government units in the process of European integration and international cooperation, and translation for the needs of business entities.
